Our Holiday Gift to You
By Jim Hornsby
It is the season for giving thanks, and we at Dancing Noodle Magazine want to take the opportunity to thank everyone who helped us get our publication up and running. To those who granted us interviews, to our contributing writers and photographers, to our readers, and to all who gave us encouragement and support, we say thanks and offer this initial issue as our holiday gift to you.
We are grateful to all the remarkably talented people who have allowed us to feature their work. Their spirit of creativity and adventure is an inspiration and a reminder that in this fast-paced world of mass-produced fads and fancies, it is good to occasionally pause and reflect on the beauty of distinctive craftsmanship and the value of individual achievement. It is a pleasure to join them in their celebration of the uniqueness of life.
Dancing Noodle looks forward to the new year and the opportunity to bring you many more articles and stories about the interesting people and organizations in Nashville and beyond. It is a pleasure and a privilege to live in a city with such a vibrant arts community, and we hope our magazine is accepted as a token of our appreciation for the pleasure we receive.
We hope you, our readers, will encourage our contributors by voting for the features you enjoy most (we are planning to have awards and prizes for your favorites), and we hope you will take a moment to subscribe to our publication. Subscribing is free with no obligations, and it is important to us as a way to measure your confidence in our efforts. We will be working hard to promote the art and artists of the area, but the success or failure of our endeavors rests with you.
Best wishes for joy and good cheer from Susie Coleman, Rebecca Hornsby and Jim Hornsby
